Canon adds new series of remanufactured MFPs for business sustainability

Canon is announcing the latest additions to its line of remanufactured devices – the imageRUNNER ADVANCE EQ80 4200 Series and 6275i.

Boasting the robust productivity and security standards of the 2nd generation of imageRUNNER ADVANCE technology, these new introductions help organisations commit to their sustainability goals whilst also benefitting from the consistent quality and reliability of a brand-new Canon device. Developed over two decades of research and refinement, the EQ80 portfolio is designed to enable businesses to actively contribute to a circular economy, while integrating seamlessly into a workspace to fulfil their printing and scanning needs.

Unlike refurbished products that only offer second-hand warranties and range in quality depending on the condition of the original machine, the EQ80 range fully disassembles the best-selling models collected from the market and rebuilds them using up to 80 per cent reused parts, after thorough testing and cleaning. As a result, these remanufactured devices are like new every time, but with up to 80 per cent lower raw materials and 80 per cent lower carbon emissions in comparison to newly manufactured products.

Ideal for a range of office settings including public sector, libraries and educational facilities, the robust new imageRUNNER ADVANCE EQ80 devices ensure reliable, productive performance for busy workloads. The new models produce speeds of up to 45 prints and 51 image scans per minute for the EQ80 4200, and 75ppm for the EQ80 6275i.

The addition of uniFLOW Online Express enables easy cloud access and the ability to track print, scan and copy costs remotely, making it ideal for hybrid working environments now and in the future. With the option to upgrade to uniFLOW Online, users can optimise production workflows from a central cloud-based location and benefit from the flexibility to work from anywhere, anytime.

Additional enhanced security features such as User Authentication, Secure Print and Department ID mean the printers can be used as a standalone device or fit in seamlessly with a mixed fleet, to offer businesses the best of both worlds. The devices also come with the Canon quality guarantee and a warranty for a newly manufactured device.

Taz Nakamasu, Executive Vice President of B2B Document Solutions, Canon Europe said, "businesses should not feel the need to choose between sustainability and functionality. Keeping your daily work flowing has always been a priority for us, which is why we guarantee that our EQ80 range operates like new, with a factory warranty and meeting stringent standards. The fact that the new range adheres to Canon's ethos of productivity, flexibility and ease of use, means that it can integrate seamlessly with the rest of our product portfolio.

"We understand that sustainability is about more than just a commitment to the environment. It's also about future-proofing your business. With consumers increasingly demanding services and products from organisations that can demonstrate their social responsibility, it is no surprise that so many businesses are looking to add more environmentally friendly solutions to their daily operations. We have designed this range with our customers in mind, to ensure that they can maintain productivity and efficient workflows, satisfy consumer demand, and also make a difference to the wider world."
