Canon unveils new desktop scanner for ID cards and passports

Canon has released the new imageFORMULA DR-S150, its first desktop scanner with USB, wired and wireless connectivity options that can scan plastic ID cards and passports reliably.

Alongside USB, wireless and wired network connectivity, the new scanner can be positioned and used across various applications, environments and office teams. The large colour LCD touchscreen also offers simple easy scanning operation, letting you get back to your work more quickly. 

Reliable solutions are important to you, whether that is from suppliers, service providers or your hardware. That's why we are using our proven paper feeding mechanism, built around heavy-duty feed and separation rollers. The scanner's automatic document feeder can handle large batches up to 60 pages and is capable of scanning a wide range of media including ultra-thin papers, plastic ID and embossed cards and even passports up to 4mm thick.

The DR-S150 also supports sending images directly to your output destination without requiring a PC connection. The dedicated DR image processor delivers high-speed high-quality scans of up to 90 image per minutes with fewer delays, letting you get the information you need and giving you peace of mind.
