• Derwent shares plans for CreativeWorld 2019

        • Following months of consumer research and development, British art materials brand Derwent has announced its plans for CreativeWorld 2019. 

          Joined by British urban sketcher, Ian Fennelly, Derwent will be displaying a selection of product extensions, designed to meet the needs of artists whatever their passion.

          In 2019, Derwent will be celebrating the 20th anniversary of its Metallic Pencil collection by adding eight new colours and a range of limited-edition gift sets. The range has been reformulated with shimmering metallic colour, smoother laydown and a blendable pencil which are all key needs of consumers.

          Pencils won’t be the only focus for Derwent, with the launch of a range of premium leather storage accessories tailored to the needs of artists and designers offering the perfect gifting solution. Made with 100 per cent British-sourced, full grain leather, the new collection will also feature innovative hidden features and bold colours to ensure artists can feel stylish whilst indulging in their artistic pleasure.

          Mike Stranders, Vice President and General Manager of Derwent said, “we continue to further improve and extend our existing Professional and Academy ranges as well as enter new adjacent product categories with an appealing differentiated proposition while also broadening our appeal to new artists. 

          Our aim remains to delight both artists and creatives and add value to our retail partners. We are also committed to continuing to enhance the consumer’s instore and online experience with Derwent by supporting our valued customers with exciting new POS communications and engaging digital content.”

          Derwent will also begin 2019 by re-launching its pen collection segmenting and positioning clearly between the Line Maker and Paint Pen ranges.

          The Line Maker range will be further extended to include six new colours and sustainable packaging and a range of new consumer communications to highlight the key features of the range. Further range extensions will be made to the Inktense Paint Pan set and the Derwent Lightfast product ranges that made such an impact at CreativeWorld last year.
