Ecosurety selects Comms365 to support office move

Ecosurety has selected Comms365, the network services and IoT infrastructure company, to provide a reliable and fast internet connection to support essential work during its recent office move.

Based in Bristol, the company works closely with producers and recyclers to positively impact UK recycling, supporting them to go beyond compliance with producer responsibility regulations by maximising the impact of their environmental obligations.

As a growing organisation, Ecosurety decided to move to a new office space in Bristol in January 2020. The new office was a converted brewery building that unfortunately had no existing fixed-line internet connection in place. To overcome this challenge, Ecosurety initially planned for its supplier to install fibre internet into its new office ahead of the move. However, due to the design and location of the building, access was not straightforward, which caused a significant delay to the plans and meant that the team had to move to the new office without any internet connectivity. Ecosurety, therefore, needed to execute an immediate backup plan to avoid this from happening.

With the added challenge of lockdown restrictions in place from March 2020, all non-essential business fibre installations throughout the country were placed on hold. For Ecosurety, this meant that installing a fibre connection at the new office space was likely to take a lot longer than planned, even considering the initial delay by its existing supplier.

As a result, Ecosurety turned to Comms365 to provide an SD-ONE Bonded 4G service, on a flexible terms contract, to deliver the required connectivity across the entire building, in time for the office opening and the following twelve months. The SD-ONE solution provides instant and fast connectivity to the site from day one, meaning that Ecosurety benefitted from no disruption to its internet services and a seamless transition from the old office to the new.

Danny Hecht, IT Manager, Ecosurety said, "having worked with Comms365 to support a previous office move in 2017, we knew that to ensure consistency, reliability and business continuity, we could rely on Comms365's technology to rapidly deliver high speed and a reliable internet connection to the building and our team. The service provided by the team is second to none – even when lockdown happened, and there was additional demand on the network due to home working, Comms365 was able to work behind the scenes to greatly reduce latency and provide additional network capacity for the team as well as the optimum quality of service."

Mike van Bunnens, Managing Director, Comms365 added, "we're delighted to have supported Ecosurety once more with its office move. Not only let down by an existing provider but also facing additional challenges from the pandemic, Comms365 was able to step in and support Ecosurety at the last minute, ensuring business continuity when it matters most. Internet connectivity no longer has to be a hurdle to overcome with the deployment of innovative solutions, such as our SD-ONE solution, irrespective of location and network."
