The Cloud Industry Forum (CIF) has announced that KCOM, communications and IT services provider, has become its latest Cloud Service Provider (CSP) member.
Established in 2009, the Cloud Industry Forum is a not-for-profit organisation that aims to improve standards and education in the Cloud industry. CIF provides transparency through certification to a Code of Practice to endorse credible providers of Cloud Services and, through its Cloud Adoption Roadmap assists end users in determining the core information necessary to enable them to adopt such services with confidence.
By joining CIF, KCOM will ensure that its customers receive up-to-date information about the changing Cloud market and help to guide the focus and direction of the industry body.
Alex Hilton, CEO of CIF said, "our members are directly responsible for the shape, format and governance of the Cloud Industry Forum and, as such, are instrumental in influencing public confidence and industry best practice. KCOM is a very welcome addition to our membership roster, and I believe that the company's heritage and expertise in connectivity and Cloud communications will be highly beneficial to our mission."
KCOM's Cloud services deliver business critical collaboration tools tailored to organisations in public and private sector industries including retail, finance, health and professional services. The company is also an AWS Premier Consulting Partner, holds AWS Managed Service Provider competency status and is an official Microsoft CSP.
Stephen Long, MD at KCOM added, "our Cloud portfolio has grown considerably in recent years, and, as Cloud is a key focus for the business, it's important that we can stay at the forefront of industry developments. Aligning ourselves with the Cloud Industry Forum gives us access to technical insight and the latest developments in the UK Cloud market, which in turn allows us to improve the service we provide our customers."
