PFU (EMEA) adds two new devices to ScanSnap line-up

PFU (EMEA) has announced the launch of the ScanSnap iX1600 and ScanSnap iX1400, two new personal document scanners to help connect people's work and lives with one touch, whether they are in the office or at home.

Easy to plug in and start-up, the iX1600 and iX1400 make working days simple and easy. Alongside the existing iX1500, the iX1600 and the iX1400 together offer a product range suitable for every user, wherever their office. Focused on delivering maximum productivity for its users, the iX1600 is ScanSnap's fastest option for people and teams to automatically digitise and organise all their documents with one touch. While for individuals who want the simplest and easiest scanning experience possible, the iX1400 will have them scanning, saving and sharing their digitised documents in minutes.

Mike Nelson, Senior Vice President, PFU (EMEA) Limited said, "for many businesses and individuals, managing their personal and professional lives can be a struggle, and paperwork is one more necessary yet time-consuming task we all have to deal with. That's why ScanSnap devices aim to deliver refreshingly simple technology that anyone can use to improve their personal or business productivity. With the growth of remote working, the ScanSnap iX1600 and iX1400 are designed to enrich day-to-day tasks, make life easier for users, and create a smarter way to work from home. From one-touch scanning to advanced features for small teams, our re-imagined personal scanner portfolio makes it easy for users to improve productivity, whether their priority is simplicity or high performance."

With a speed of 40 pages per minute, the iX1600 gives time back to its users by automating essential tasks through a predefined profile and task buttons on a 4.3-inch colour coded LCD touchscreen. With one touch, this model will automatically scan, recognise, and classify up to four different document types (documents, receipts, business cards and photos) and save them each to a preferred destination – even in the cloud. Wi-Fi enabled, the device can be set up to scan anywhere with a wireless network.

Offering advanced yet accessible technology that anyone can use, the iX1400 one-button device offers the easiest way to scan, save and share at 40 pages per minute. Users just need to press the blue button to scan, then select from the Quick Menu what they want to do next – whether that's creating searchable PDFs, or editable files in applications they know and use, such as Word, PowerPoint or Excel. USB connection means the iX1400 is ready to scan in record time with no complex settings to configure. Specialist features like the receipt guide make scanning easy, and users need not worry about scanning small or different types of documents separately.

ScanSnap Home software is included as standard with the ScanSnap iX1600 and iX1400, enabling users to manage, draft, edit and use scanned data. Documents can be automatically recognised and grouped according to document type, while folders, tags and keywords mean users can search and find information quickly and easily.
