Salford’s sporting stars were recognised for their talents and tenacity at a glittering awards ceremony, supported by communications supply specialist Rocom, and hosted by TV personality and former footballer Chris Kamara.
Salford Sports Awards 2018 took place at the city’s Lowry Hotel as hundreds of distinguished guests converged to celebrate the area’s most sporting and inspirational achievers. Nominations were received to reward and recognise all the hard work voluntary sports clubs carry out across Salford.
Rocom sponsored the Disabled Sports Achiever of the Year award won by Danny Royle from Cadishead Rhinos. The company was represented by Radio Communications Product Manager, Gary Redshaw and Unified Communications Business Manager, Amy Mellor.
Gary Redshaw said, “it was a fantastic occasion which we were delighted to be part of. Salford is blessed with lots of sporting talent and supporting the local community is part of our Group’s overall ethos. Well done to all the winners.”
