• Sharp launches Optimised Visitor Management system

        • Sharp has launched its Optimised Visitor Management system which expands its range of digital transformation services. The platform for visitor, employee and contractor registration, ensures that businesses always have an accurate and up-to-date list of who is on-site and supports compliance with data protection and privacy regulation, including GDPR.

The Optimised Visitor Management system, comprising of a choice of Sharp interactive displays and intuitive people presence management software from WhosOnLocation, offering a wide range of features, based on quick and easy self-sign-in and out for guests via a touchscreen interface.

Darren Whitaker-Barnett, CEO, WhosOnLocation said “Security is at the top of businesses’ agendas and starts with keeping track of people entering and leaving the premises. We are pleased to partner with Sharp on the Optimised Visitor Management system to provide software that lets you monitor the movement of people throughout your facilities and empowers you to make data-driven decisions based on valuable people presence insight.”

The interface is completely configurable, from welcome screen branding and images to tailored registration questions. The system includes an optional label printer for guest badges, or businesses can choose a paperless solution with guests receiving their badge as a QR code via email or SMS, like a digital airline boarding pass.

The sign-in service automates visitor sign-in and informs employees via email or SMS notification that their guest has arrived. Visitors or large groups can be pre-registered to enable fast-track sign in, similarly, returning guests are remembered by the system to speed up the sign-in process.

Thanks to movement tracking, the Optimised Visitor Management system enables businesses to record the flow of people in and out of a site and notify visitors in the event of an emergency, while verifying the safety of individuals easily in real-time.

The data collected can also be used to generate real-time reports that enable organisations to make data-driven decisions based on people presence insights, such as managing their shared spaces more efficiently, from meeting rooms to car parks.

Data privacy and the protection of personal data is an important concern for every organisation. The Optimised Visitor Management system provides organisations with tools to demonstrate compliance with GDPR, for example, by capturing visitor consent. As part of the sign-in process, visitors can be informed of the company’s data privacy policy and asked to accept it.

Rob Davis, Business Manager - Managed Content Services, Sharp said, “we are excited to extend our range of office productivity and digital transformation services with a complete software and hardware offering that will transform the reception experience and help businesses to make a great first impression.”
