        • teliqo brings business telephones into the 21st century

Low-cost, flexible plug-and-play phone system provides single number, network, and service across any device

teliqo is launching teliqo direct, a low-cost, flexible service to provide SMEs, mid-market organisations, and enterprises with its bespoke telephony systems to meet the needs of office managers and administrators in the modern business.

Russell Lux, Commercial Director at teliqo, believes that business telephony is in need of simplification and greater transparency: "The market is awash with providers ready to lure businesses in with offers of low line rental and call charges, but those businesses will be in for a shock when they see the up-front charges and other hidden costs," he said.

teliqo direct requires zero up-front capital expenditure. Handsets, installation, connectivity, and maintenance are all included in a single low fixed monthly subscription, with calls provided at wholesale rates.

"With workforces becoming increasingly distributed, and more and more employees working flexible hours or from various locations, the ability to communicate effectively with colleagues and customers and work productively wherever you are has never been in greater demand," Lux said.

"Managing an office environment - or several - can present complex time management and communication issues for office managers and administrators, as well as the complications of dealing with multiple suppliers. With teliqo direct, you get a tailor-made system with the flexibility to evolve as and when your business needs to. It is a compelling option for any office manager who wants an easy life when it comes to administering an easy-to-install telephony system with low operational costs and without the hassle of multiple supplers," he continued.

teliqo direct provides each user of a system with a single contact number to be used for making and receiving calls across a range of devices, from desk-based handsets to smartphones, tablets, and even desktop or laptop computers. Initial system set-up and any future changes can all be completed through teliqo's secure web portal, making it easy to add users as a company grows.

teliqo direct users can select from over 200 features for their system, included in the monthly subscription. Features include conferencing, secure call recording, and "smart" geographic numbers. teliqo also enables office managers and administrators to assign account codes to users or teams to facilitate simple and accurate reporting on activity per customer or department. Office managers and administrators can also be confident that adding features, creating users, and scaling up or down is straightforward and quick. Initial installation can be performed in half a day, meaning the office can continue to operate without disruption. teliqo also works with customers to design bespoke features to meet specific needs.

"Business telephony is in dire need of dragging into the 21st century, but there is no need for telephony providers to blind customers with science. Organisations want a system that can be quickly and easily scaled up or down to meet changing business needs, and that doesn't cost the earth. Put simply, they want phones that 'just work'," Lux concluded.
