Designer and manufacturer of data security products, Apricorn, has announced its plans to revolutionise the European data security market with the EMEA launch of its Aegis storage products. To support its growth, the company has also announced the opening of its regional headquarters in the UK and the addition of three new European distribution partners.
Specialising in products for business, military, and government, the US company is hoping to grow its European customer base and channel network across the region.
Jon Fielding, Managing Director, Apricorn EMEA said, “with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) on the horizon, many European organisations will be looking to solve their data security and protection challenges. Devices eliminate the need, and risk, of installing or managing software on the company network, and are fully compatible with any hardware that supports a USB port. On top of this, all encryption and authentication functionality sits on the device itself, making it extremely secure, easy to use, and affordable.”
Apricorn’s hardware-encrypted storage devices include the Aegis Secure Key product range of USB flash drives and the Aegis Padlock product range of external hard drives and solid state drives.
The company so far have three new distributors on board across EMEA including, Simms International in the UK, Secury Products in Benelux, and Bedriftssystemer AS in the Nordic region, and is actively recruiting additional partners in other key.
Mike McCandless, VP of Sales & Marketing, Apricorn added, “we see this as a huge opportunity for us and our channel partners, and we are excited about the new potential our European expansion brings. Our team on the ground has years of solid experience in growing similar security businesses, which puts us in a great position to launch into these new markets.”
