Bisley has announced that the MultiDrawer has been awarded a Design Guild Mark, recognising its merits in design, functionality and quality.
Approaching 60 years from its inception, the MultiDrawer has never lost its appeal with almost two million of the cabinets having been sold. Created by Freddy Brown, Founder of Bisley and an experienced metal worker, the MultiDrawer was first made in 1958.
The Design Guild Mark is awarded by The Furniture Makers’ Company, the furnishing industry’s charity, in order to drive excellence and raise the profile of British design and innovation.
The award recognises the highest standards in the design of furniture in volume production, by the best designers working in Britain or British designers working abroad. The judges are renowned experts in their respective fields and bring a wealth of knowledge and experience to the process.
Ralph Hearnshaw, Commercial Director said, “at Bisley we endeavor to manufacture the best storage in the business and so are hugely gratified for the MultiDrawer to have been awarded a Design Guild Mark. The timeless design, the excellent functionality and the top quality build have made this little cabinet a classic. Our Classic.”
Various sizes and colours mean the MultiDrawer suits all environments, from the office to the home. The smaller versions can be placed on desktops or shelves, the taller tucked under tables or even used as a trestle leg to create a desk. Neat label holders on each drawer front also ensure organisation is made clear and simple.
