Brother adds two new models to RJ mobile print range

Brother UK has enhanced its RuggedJet (RJ) mobile print range. The new RJ-3200 range of label printers, comprising the RJ-3230B and the RJ-3250WB, have the latest connectivity, charging and integration features required to meet end-user needs.

Boasting applications to assist with everything from shelf labelling, price markdowns, click and collect through to quotes, estimates, and invoices, the RJ-3200 models are well equipped to slot into a wide variety of working situations.

The new devices are suited to help workers on the go, delivering print speeds of up to five inches-per-second, featuring strengthened bodies that can withstand drops of up to two metres in height, and meeting IP54 certification meaning that the models resist water spray and protect against damage from dust penetration.

Wireless connectivity options including WiFi, NFC and Bluetooth enable workers to easily carry out tasks remotely. An upgraded 16-hour battery life also lasts users over two shifts, helping to maximise usage time and productivity.

The devices are compatible with a variety of command languages, including ZPL2, ensuring that the new models will integrate with firms’ existing IT infrastructure. They’re also compatible with device management software, including SOTI, meaning IT leads can manage their fleet of label printers remotely with ease.

Aaron Hopkinson, Product & Solutions Manager at Brother UK said, “a rapid rise in e-commerce is feeding opportunities to supply portable print devices to the growing number of distribution centres opening across the UK.

“We’ve introduced the new and improved RJ-3200 range for workers in retail, logistics and warehousing, which are increasingly reliant on high-performing mobile print solutions to help keep supply chains moving and customer deliveries on track when integrated with wider Auto-ID systems.

“Ultimately, the bolstered range’s industry-leading specifications offer another string to the bow of resellers that are continuing to help their customers navigate the changing demands on their print estate. Our labelling range ensures that print partners have everything they need to address their customers’ needs, from the compact RJ-Lite through to the industrial and heavy-duty TJ range.”

The new range, which replaces the existing RJ-3050 and RJ-3150 models, comes as part of wider investment in Brother UK’s specialist print solutions (SPS) division. The vendor recently launched Brother ONSITE, new next-day maintenance service for its TJ range of industrial label printers. The service reduces the risk of downtime for customers where labelling is critical to operations.

The SPS range is available via Brother’s Managed Label Service (MLS), which allows firms to acquire tech as-a-service and spread the cost of new devices and services over an affordable monthly payment plan.
