Brother UK launches new business scanners

Brother UK is launching two new and improved compact document scanners to capitalise on the continued growth of its scan category and to open up more opportunities for partners.

The ADS models are designed to help SOHO and business users work more productively, efficiently and securely from any location, with enhanced paper handling capabilities, faster scan speeds and the option to scan a variety of media directly to USB.

The ADS-1200 portable scanner delivers easy, high-quality scanning on the move or in environments where space is limited, offering BUS power for use with a USB 3.0 compatible laptop or computer.

The ADS-1700W is designed to support productive working in businesses with up to 250 employees, with wireless scanning, an auto start scan feature which scans documents instantly, and up to 20 touchscreen shortcuts.  The option to control access and restrict functions to certain users mean personal details can be scanned safely and securely.

Aaron Hopkinson, Product and Solutions Manager – Scan and mobile, at Brother UK said, "our scan category continues to deliver great results, outperforming the market and growing in all areas. The addition of the ADS-1200 and ADS-1700W strengthens the range for businesses with lower-volume scan requirements – a real opportunity for our partners to boost sales across a range of verticals.

"We've recently conducted a study into print and scan trends among managers and employees in businesses with up to 500 employees, which revealed that scanning has become more established in day to day activity in the last two years.  Although the majority of those we surveyed are keen to reduce paper usage as part of their sustainability efforts, the prospect of going completely paperless is deemed impractical.  This means that scanning has – and will continue to have – a critical role to play in bridging the gap between paper and digital information sharing."

Brother's scan portfolio now includes 16 models, offering partners market-leading solutions across desktop, compact and mobile.
