• Canon named top Japanese company awarded patents for the 11th consecutive year

        • Canon, have been named first among Japanese companies for the number of U.S patents awarded in 2015, according to preliminary patent results issued by IFI CLAIMS Patent Services this month.

The Image solution giants came third overall, matching results similar to the last 11 years in which they came first for Japanese companies; more impressively, Canon has ranked in the top five patent holders for 30 consecutive years.

As part of their research and development efforts, Canon actively pursue patents in many countries and regions and see the U.S, with its large market scale, as a particularly important region in terms of technology alliances and growth.
