Sharp’s fresh new approach goes beyond providing managed print services to deliver industry leading collaboration solutions
The company has reshaped its business, appointing a new Director Alex Cardnell to head up its Corporate Division, that’s geared up to deliver optimisation solutions that link print, software, visual solutions and the cloud for corporate clients.
Building on its established managed print services, which makes office printing, copying, scanning and faxing - easier, cost effective and far more efficient; Sharp Optimised Collaboration Solutions according to Cardnell is ‘joining up the dots that are already there’. Providing information lifecycle tools that integrate visual solutions and cloud-based workflow and storage, to support better collaboration, reduce costs, enhance security and lower environmental footprint.
“Our portfolio addresses the needs of the whole enterprise, whether it’s office print or production print, cloud-based applications, multi-touch interactive displays, professional digital signage, video wall solutions and meeting space AV,” explained Cardnell.
“We can even provide our solar panels to provide the energy required to run the equipment - offering a total end to end solution. In a way we’re practising what we preach, by combining all of this expertise and collaborating as a business, we’re in a great place to provide pioneering collaboration solutions for our clients,” he said.
Strong heritage
This strong heritage - Sharp is the world leader in solar panels and the number one brand in Europe for professional displays above 60 inches, plus its service stats makes them the market leader in the UK - uniquely positions the brand to take corporate clients on a journey beyond workflow solutions to industry leading collaboration solutions.
The company’s research into Generation Cloud workers confirmed there is an increasingly tangible demand for more collaborative, flexible working practices and that employees are moving towards a more flexible, collaborative working model.
“It’s about ensuring that the complex needs of large organisations can be serviced and optimised effectively,” said Cardnell. “And we firmly believe this is a unique offering and that no one else is doing it.”
Cloud Solutions
Sharp’s Optimised Collaboration Solutions is designed from the ground up, to ensure clients have the right technology, processes and infrastructure in place to optimise how they create, share and use documents and information.
“Sharp Cloud Portal Office is bringing collaboration and the cloud to life. With this unique tool, we can help organisations to harness their full potential, making collaboration within and between workgroups much easier and much more productive,” said Cardnell.
Cloud Portal Office simply allows businesses to collaborate better; easy to set-up and use, the service is accessed through a single sign-on portal which is securely controlled by the IT department. It enables individuals or teams to securely access, upload, download, manage and print files. They can create new folders, edit documents and share them with colleagues or clients in real time. And as it’s a cloud application, individuals can log on from any PC, mobile device, Sharp MFP or Sharp BIG PAD interactive whiteboard.
