CROSS Pens has agreed to become title sponsors of the Cross Sports Book Awards for a third consecutive year, celebrating some of the UK’s most decorated sports men and women.
The awards exist to highlight the most outstanding sports books of the previous calendar year, with 12 categories set-up to showcase the most enlightening and informative publications from sporting writers, professionals and retailers.
The evening itself will take place at Lords Cricket Ground on 24th May and will provide CROSS Pens with a platform to position its range of premium products as the ideal gifts for writing and reading enthusiasts of all ages.
Last year, the event amplified CROSS to millions of sports enthusiasts, with festivities being screened on Sky and related press coverage and online activity reaching a huge audience.
Nicola Shepherd, Marketing Director, EMEA at CROSS Pens said, “we are looking forward to another memorable event, which will again feature some of our most decorated sports men and women.
“Our title sponsorship of the Cross Sports Book Awards allows us to project our range of premium writing instruments to a huge audience and the amount of interest that is stimulated in our products as due to our association with these awards is huge.
“We believe in the continued pursuit of greatness which is reflected in all of the stories and significant moments highlighted in the excellent writing we see each year from our shortlisted writers. I am sure 2017 will be no exception.”
David Willis, Cross Sports Book Awards Founder added, “CROSS Pens is a premium brand that offers a fitting sense of prestige to our celebrations of the written word. The name goes hand in hand with the sports book awards and the company’s support means a great deal to us.”
Ian Wright, Jo Pavey, Damon Hill and Greg Rutherford are just four of the personalities in line for the autobiography of the year award.
