• Dell’s SonicWall firewalls get certified by U.S. Department of Defense

        • Dell, has today, been certified by the U.S. Department of Defense, securing it as a trusted partner with its next-generation firewalls.

          The Dell SonicWall firewalls have been approved by the DoD Unified Capabilities Approved Products List, making its product suitable for usage, implementation or deployment to military departments and DoD agencies. The list comes following a strict testing process for the secure installation and maintenance of computer software and hardware.

          Larry Wagner, Senior Director, engineering at Dell Security said, “our team worked diligently to insure our industry-leading next-generation firewalls met the stringent requirements of the DoD and could stand-up to the unique and difficult conditions defence organisations face.”

          Following certification, Dell can now help better serve the DoD’s existing and future customers with industry-leading cybersecurity and other companies can be confident their networks are using the technology good enough for national security. Dell will be ensuring that the latest of their innovations will be available to the DoD agencies to fulfil their system needs and provide a lower total cost of ownership compared to others.
