Ergotron has announced the immediate availability of its mobile medical workstations, broadly known as Mobile Thermal Imaging Carts (MOTIC) in EMEA that support the implementation of thermal imaging technology. The announcement comes in response to the recent, rapid spike in demands placed on hospitals and clinics.
‘Remote Care’ is a fundamental achievement of technology innovation in the healthcare industry, and thermal imaging sits alongside telehealth and clinical diagnostics as a major application within this space. Ergotron’s mobile medical workstations adapt to the needs of these applications, enabling the mounting of any special equipment, such as those used for thermal imaging. Combining application and mobile cart in this way creates a means to minimise physical contact with an isolated patient while still being able to assess and provide appropriate care.
Paul Zuidema, Ergotron’s Managing Director in EMEA said, “from a medical perspective, thermal imaging has proven invaluable during occasions of pandemic virus outbreaks and quarantine call outs, helping doctors to quickly identify a patient’s health status from a distance. Given our current reality and the extent of this crisis, we have to reimagine care, manage valuable time and support doctors and nurses in saving lives.”
