Fujifilm has announced that digital and lithographical printer, Emmerson Press, has become the first UK company to invest in its Jet Press 720S, providing an opportunity for growth of customers and an expansion into new markets.
Becoming one of the earliest UK companies to install an Indigo digital press in 1997, Emmerson has been following developments in the B2 digital inkjet market prior to the investment. The new venture now means it can build on the level of quality it delivers producing promotional material for high-end retail customers.
Nick Fincher, Business Development Director at Emmerson Press said, “we’ve been watching developments in B2 digital inkjet very closely for a number of years. So we are in no doubt that in the Jet Press 720S, we have now found a machine that can help us grow our business substantially, allowing us to offer our customers the quality they have come to expect from offset, with all the time and cost savings of digital.”
With the press up and running in April 2016, this announcement follows a number of recent installations across Europe and internationally, confirming the success of the Jet Press 720S. Now with more improvements in productivity and press up time, and the development of a new GUI together with remote iPad press operation, the total global install base is now numbering over 70.
As a result, more print service providers are now able to produce short run, on demand, high quality print, allowing them to achieve new business opportunities.
Keith Dalton, Director, Fujifilm UK Ltd added, “Fujifilm has devoted many years to perfecting the multiple technologies necessary to make B2 inkjet printing a strong commercial proposition. This press is now able to transform a print business’s production efficiency and profitability, and will help Emmerson’s to grow in the face of a rapidly changing, and often extremely challenging, market.”
