Paper producer, Gruppo Cordenons, has achieved a OHSAS 18001 certification, part of an Occupation Health and Safety Assessment Series for health and safety management systems.
The certification is intended to help organisations to control occupational health and safety risks and was developed in response to demand for a recognised standard against which to be certified and assessed. OHSAS 18001 also helps to create a working environment which safeguards the health and safety of company personnel, communicates and establishes a culture of safety, develops awareness of risks and promotes responsible behaviour.
Following the news, Gruppo Cordenons has also announced strong financial results for the first half of 2016. These results show continuing improvements since 2014 and exceed the ‘record’ performance achieved in 2015.
The company credits its continuing performance to a number of factors including; dynamic capacity management, investment in its brands, optimisation and innovation, and a differentiated product offering. The company also pride themselves on defining collaborative relationships with supplier, achieving professional standards and employing the best possible standards relative to ethics, health and safety and environmental awareness.
Gruppo Cordenons is FSC and ISO 140001 certified. Its range of products includes metallised and iridescent papers; textured papers with blended fibres; felt-marked papers; papers with a special touch and feel and coated/uncoated papers.
