• Insight announces Darren Hedley as new Head of Public Sector

        • Intelligent technology solutions firm, Insight UK, has announced the appointment of Darren Hedley as the new Director of Public Sector Sales, effective February 2017.

Working with more than 3,000 individual Public Sector bodies, Insight’s UK customers include the Met Police, Greater Manchester Police, HMRC, Transport for London and UCL. Darren’s appointment comes as Insight looks to build its Public Sector portfolio further in the coming year, building on its current clients as it looks to drive innovation in the public sector.

Emma de Sousa, MD, Insight UK said, “the acumen and expertise that Darren brings to this role will be invaluable for Insight. His years of experience in management, strategic planning, business development and sales bring a great depth of knowledge from across the IT industry, and we are delighted to have him join the team and our growing Public Sector division.”

Darren joins Insight from Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE), where he led strategic partnerships and frameworks for the company, delivering savings to HPE customers from the procurement stage through to solution delivery. He brings with him more than 20 years’ experience in business development and vast proficiency in high level procurement and commercial sales. His ability to cultivate customer relationships and manage people has also been at the forefront of his engagement and development strategies over the course of his career.

Darren replaces Jon Lang who departs the business after six years at the company.
