As one of the leading businesses in Cheshire, Jiffy Packaging received an invitation to join Her Majesty The Queen, who was accompanied by The Duchess of Sussex, when the royal party visited the county on 14th June.
Representing Jiffy was Fiona MacDougall, Sales and Marketing Director, who has worked for the company at its Winsford headquarters for a total of 16 years.
Jiffy’s invitation was extended by the Chairman of Cheshire West and Chester Council, Councillor Bob Rudd and The Right Worshipful, The Lord Mayor of Chester, Councillor Alex Black.
Fiona MacDougall, Sales and Marketing Director said, “it was a huge privilege and honour for Jiffy to be represented at this majestic luncheon and to be part of The Queen and Duchess of Sussex’s historic visit to Cheshire.
“I made some great connections with other guests over lunch and even managed to get a photograph with The Lord Mayor of Chester and his wife, Janet, The Lady Mayoress.”
Jiffy has been manufacturing in Cheshire since 1964. The company’s iconic Jiffy Padded Bag is still manufactured on the same machine that was installed at the Winsford Industrial Estate back in 1964.
It is now part of a state of the art manufacturing facility making padded bags, bubble film, bubble lined mailers to name but a few of the company’s products. The company’s most recent innovation following a multi-million-pound investment is the introduction of extrusion technology to manufacture polyethylene foam.
