TV Presenter Kate Humble is set to join select speakers from across the green industry at the Staffordshire Climate Expo taking place at Uttoxeter Racecourse on30th Sept. The Animal Park presenter will be celebrating Staffordshire-based businesses in their efforts to tackle climate change in her keynote address at the conference.
She will be joined by a line-up of other speakers including Ecotricity CEO, Asif Rehmanwala and James Close, Head of Climate Centre for Excellence for NatWest Group.
Professor Mark Ormerod, Deputy Vice-Chancellor and Provost at Keele University, who will also be speaking at the event said, “the Expo is a fantastic addition to Staffordshire's sustainability activities and will provide local organisations with access to expert advice and insights, as well as new initiatives, that will support their journey towards a more sustainable low carbon future.”
This event has been brought together by Uttoxeter-based nonprofit, The Globe Group, as part of their Great Big Green Week activities. Kate Copeland, Managing Director added, "the climate crisis is such an overwhelming problem that it's difficult for businesses to define the best course of action, add in the energy and cost of living crises, and the issues can feel insurmountable. This event is our way of linking businesses to the crucial support they need and we are delighted to be working with Kate Humble who shares our ethos and passion for making sustainable change happen."
The Expo is free for businesses to attend and will feature over 60 exhibitors from across the Midlands that offer B2B services that support climate action, most of which are free for businesses to take advantage of.
