Popup showroom, KI House, will be open during Clerkenwell Design Week 2019, from 21st-23rd May. Solutions to feature include the launch of KI’s new Hatton chairs for education dining and multipurpose spaces and the new cost-competitive Work2.1 Sit-Stand.
Hatton features an elegant, streamlined silhouette and is created with a 100 per cent recyclable, one-piece injection- moulded polypropylene/glass fibre blend. Its built-in UV protection makes it suitable for indoor and outdoor use. Strong, comfortable and light, it is stackable to 8 high on the floor, or 16 high on its transport dolly. Its subtle curved backrest features an integrated grab handle to make the chair easy to move around and quickly reconfigure a space.
Jonathan Hindle, KI’s Group Managing Director – EMEA said, “seating in multipurpose and cafe areas often play host to learning beyond the traditional classroom. Hatton chairs give education institutions a solution for dynamic, active learning environments – both inside and outside, for individual or collaborative working.”
Hatton chairs are available in three stocked colours (Ash Grey, Aqua Blue, Parrot Green) on a 5-10 day lead time, with further standard colours to be added in the future. Backed by a 5-year warranty, Hatton chairs boast value for money and versatility for schools, colleges, and universities.
Building on the success of KI’s Work2 Sit-Stand solutions, the newWork2.1 Sit-Stand offers an expansion of features and options. This evolution has been driven by co-designed improvements achieved with major clients across the UK and Europe throughout 2018. The Work2.1 Sit-Stand is available as single or back-to-back desks, the refined design and engineering of these new workstations include smoother, quieter actuators, an expanded inventory of sophisticated, high capacity horizontal and vertical cable management solutions, sliding tops and horizontal tool rails. Lower cable trays are available for the first time on single desks, doubling up as a strong mounting point for optional screens.
Work2.1 Sit-Stand maintains the 80mm square leg profile of its predecessor, as well as the ability to be retrofitted with powered actuators. This allows organisations to introduce sit-stand at their desired pace, at minimal redundant cost. Designed and manufactured in the UK, it exceeds BS EN 527:2016. The 3-stage actuator features built-in anti-collision technology as standard and can be controlled by a range of switch options. A variety of full-width or inset screens and modesty panels are also available.
The collection can be specified with numerous worktop finishes and white, silver or black-grey (anthracite) understructures as standard.
