Lexmark International, Inc. has announced an exclusive partnership in the UK with its channel partner, Dalton Ellis, to create the sustainable Carbon Neutral Programme. Combining technology with environmentally friendly processes, the programme encourages sustainability by providing end-users with a package that consists of recycled woodland trust paper, a Lexmark printer/multifunctional device and access to Lexmark’s Cartridge Collection Programme (LCCP).
According to studies conducted by scientific bodies, to avoid a temperature rise of more than 2 degrees by 2050 we must reduce our carbon emissions by 80 per cent in that same period. The Carbon Neutral Programme offers end-users recycled paper, a Lexmark printer/multifunction device, and access to the LCCP programme which incorporates collection, recycling and remanufacturing of all toner cartridges to provide 100 per cent landfill avoidance. Additionally, with each purchase of the programme, a donation is made to The Woodland Trust conservation charity.
Chris Law, Supplies Director, Lexmark said, “at Lexmark, we’re always working to empower businesses to not only save money but become sustainable at the same time, and the Carbon Neutral Programme that we’ve created in conjunction with Dalton Ellis, is living proof of this. Our goal is simple, we want to continuously provide our customers with innovative, high-quality products and services in an environmentally and socially responsible manner. From start to finish, the Carbon Neutral Programme, provides customers with an easy option to do their part in helping the environment.”
Dalton Ellis will supplement the services provided with additional environmentally friendly practices including, its implementation of ‘Pull Printing’, which reduces paper output by an average of 20 per cent.
Nick Munton, Managing Director, Dalton Ellis added, “we created the Carbon Neutral Programme specifically with our customers in mind. We’ve worked to create this initiative exclusively in partnership with Lexmark, who through established initiatives such as LCCP recognise the importance of having a first-rate CSR scheme in place. Not only are we offsetting the output of carbon into the environment through the Carbon Neutral Programme, we’re also saving our customers time and money.”
