For the fourth consecutive year, Lexmark has received gold certification from EcoVadis, a collaborative platform that enables companies to assess the environmental and social performance of their suppliers on a global basis.
For 2017, Lexmark ranks in the top 1 per cent of suppliers from 120 countries, more than 40,000 suppliers across 150 business sectors, assessed on corporate policies, initiatives and achievements in areas concerning the environment, labour practices, fair business practices and sustainable procurement. Lexmark scored 77 out of 100, up from last year’s score of 74. To achieve gold recognition, a company must have an overall score of 62 or greater.
John Gagel, Senior Manager, Corporate Sustainability said, “Lexmark continues to demonstrate global leadership in social, environmental and sustainability initiatives and activities. External recognition from EcoVadis at the gold level is a testament to our global efforts to continually improve. It’s also a powerful proof point to our existing and potential customers that our focus on these issues is truly part our culture, vision and values.”
The 2017 EcoVadis rating is posted in the Awards & Recognition section of Lexmark’s Global Citizenship site.
