• Mobile printing for everyone

        • “EveryonePrint gives users five ways to print directly from a mobile device, which greatly improves productivity and workflow,” says Olivetti UK Marketing Manager, Alison Locke

Independent research* forecasts the Global Mobile Printing market is set to grow at a CAGR of 32.5 per cent over the period 2014-2019 with the key drivers being the increased implementation of BYOD (Bring Your Own Device) in business and the education market. This trend is also driving the growth of documents being stored in the cloud and has created a growing need for people to be able to print while away from their usual printer.

Olivetti supports a secure, server based mobile printing solution called EveryonePrint, which provides simple and transparent server licenses for unlimited users and printers. EveryonePrint allows users to print from their workstations, notebooks or mobile devices via web print, driver printing or email printing and it also supports AirPrint and Google Cloud Print.

Advantages include its integration with the most commonly used accounting and print management systems and its quick and simple installation; whether companies or colleges have two or 2,000 print devices on their networks. A typical basic EveryonePrint installation takes around 10-20 minutes and needs to be installed on a resident Windows server. It does support Mac, Android and Linux for printing.

EveryonePrint doesn't provide extensive print tracking, accounting or user billing, but integrates easily with products that do, such as YSoft, PaperCut, Equitrac, SafeCom, Pcounter, Cirrato, Streamline NX and many more. It’s easy to use and allows office users and guests the opportunity to use their own device to print by uploading the print document to any web browser and then printing directly from their familiar programmes via the EveryonePrint interfaces to the printers available. It can print from existing print drivers installed on their device orfrom Google Cloud.

Security is a major issue when considering mobile printing. EveryonePrint is installed on a private network or private cloud but it can be opened up to external users. Nothing is transmitted to outside third parties, and no access from outside to a network is necessary. When installing the software it can be decided who can have access. The software can allow documents to print securely by releasing the job with a secure ID card or password, integrated with a ‘follow me’ print accounting or print management system, like YSoft, for example. What is more, it can be configured to allow external guest users to also print within the infrastructure in a secure manner, with a password or individual access code.

For even greater security, EveryonePrint supports strong SSL encryption throughout all interfaces and printing methods. As it’s a server based software solution and installs on the network infrastructure or in a managed print service environment, it runs internally to the planned IT structure, so all data stays within the private corporate network and does not require a connection to the internet or third-party servers.

The solution also provides a dashboard that provides visibility over who is printing and to which machine.
