Originally known as Roneo Alcatel, Neopost have occupied the site in South Street, overlooking Roneo Corner, since 1924. Roneo Alcatel became Neopost Limited in 2002.
Neopost has played a vital role in the Romford community since 1924. Today Neopost is still one of the largest employers in the area with a large majority of our 400+ head office staff living within only a few miles.
Warren Tait, Customer Services Director, explained why apprentices are important:
“Developing people is one of our key principles. We have a culture of promoting from within and have a lot of long tenured employees. It is always good to replenish our supply of young, talented people.
“Apprentices make a valuable contribution to our business during their training period with most adding value within their first few weeks.
“For this category, I would expect entrants to show their commitment to getting the apprentices into the business doing real work that builds experience and skills. They should show a successful transition from apprenticeship to full time work.”
Councillor Benham, Cabinet Member for Environment, said:
“It’s great to see that a long-standing local business is investing in young people and showing such a commitment to training them, ready for the workplace. I’m really pleased that Neopost is sponsoring the award for Apprentice of the Year.”
