• office* show confirms Sir Richard Branson’s former EA, Samantha Cox, as headline keynote

        • Office* 2016 has confirmed that Samantha Cox, former EA to Sir Richard Branson, will host a headline Q&A on the second day of the event.

The Q&E interview will be held on 12th May by Executive Secretary Magazine publisher, Lucy Brazier, and will feature her four-year tenure as Richard Branson’s EA, marking a successful career with Virgin that began not so successfully by being turned down for a job as a member of the cabin crew. She will focus on dealing with the aftermath of the fire on Necker Island in 2011 as well as being involved in Virgin Unite and The Elders organisation, founded by the late Nelson Mandela.

Samantha said, “when I moved from being a PA at Virgin Australia to being Sir Richard Branson’s EA, I took myself out of my comfort zone and had the attitude of – what’s there to lose. A brilliant PA/EA is invaluable. I think a lot of people see them as the person who does the expense report, manages the diary etc., but I truly believe that CEOs, directors and managers have to account for some of their success being due to having a solid support person in their PA/EA.”

Other new names to be added to the 2016 keynote line-up include 2014 BBC’s The Apprentice finalist, Bianca Miller, who will be sharing personal branding insights, and inspirational speaker Ania Lichota, who will be discussing the self-awareness and attitude evolution required to progress up the leadership path.

Previous confirmed speakers include Oprah Winfrey’s former EA/Chief of Staff, Libby Moore – read our report here.

Office* 2016, the business event for executive office support professionals, is looking to attract around 4,000 visitors at ExCeL London on 11th-12th May. An exclusive Q&A with Samantha Cox can be read ahead of the show at if you can’t wait until then, plus more keynote speakers will be revealed in the coming weeks.
