With five months to go before ORGATEC 2016 opens its doors, the international trade fair for the modern world of work is almost fully booked even with the rented exhibition space increasing by 20 per cent.
ORGATEC 2016 will present the latest trends and solutions for tomorrow’s offices from 25th to 29th October in Cologne and is looking forward to welcoming Microsoft and Samsung this year for the first time. ORGATEC has seen registrations by foreign companies rise significantly with companies from outside Germany accounting for around 73 per cent of exhibitors, and large numbers coming from Italy, Spain, Scandinavia and Turkey.
The fair expects to attract more than 50,000 visitors looking to discover new launches and trends in furnishing, flooring, acoustics, lighting, and media and conferencing technology. The range of trade visitors to the fair comprises founders of start-up companies, dealers and decision makers from SMEs, planners, architects and interior designers as well as executives from the Procurement and Human Resources departments of large corporations.
ORGATEC’s ‘Contract’, ‘Mobile’, ‘Space’ and ‘Office’ themed areas will provide ideas for the design of inspiring work environments and the supporting programme takes a closer look at these topics.
Among the fair highlights is the Trend Forum, which will be moderated by Hajo Schumacher and will feature a host of insightful talks and discussion rounds on office design and work culture. With assistance from a large number of partners, the ORGATEC Boulevard will bring the motto ‘Creativity Works’ to life in spectacular scenes on different islands.
The Speakers’ Corner will also be part of the ORGATEC event programme this year. Following its successful premiere in 2014, exhibiting companies will have the opportunity to present their products and services to an international trade audience on the stage. Any interested companies have until the end of July to apply for one of the highly sought-after presentation slots.
