Panasonic and Ferrari electronic AG unveil paperless office solution

The move to the paperless office has become simpler with the latest document digitalisation solution from Panasonic and UC experts Ferrari electronic AG. Suitable for remote workforces, as well as paper-reliant businesses, documents can be scanned and made available in searchable digital format before transmission or business processing.

The solution combines the Panasonic KV-N1058X network scanner integrated with Ferrari electronic's OfficeMaster Suite 7DX software to provide a fast, secure and efficient route for the digitalisation of documents. It's also the starting point for digital document exchange and simplifying workflows and approval processes.

The Panasonic scanner can scan up to 70 duplex sheets (140 pages) per minute in colour and creates PDF/A documents. Using OfficeMaster Suite 7DX, and its core Next Generation Document Exchange (NGDX) feature, searchable metadata can be added and the documents sent digitally in their original colour in a legally compliant manner.

Michael Bertig, Scanner Evangelist at Panasonic said, "many companies and public sector authorities still work with paper-based processes today. This joint solution provides those organisations with a quick and efficient route to digitalisation and is also an ideal solution for those working remotely and from home to digitalise and securely send their documents to the main office and its IT systems."

This process is a starting point for businesses looking to migrate to digital processes. NGDX can transmit hybrid documents that can be read by both people and machines to enable combined paper-based and digital processes to exist.

If NGDX is coupled with a Business Process Management system, documents can be automatically captured, content extracted and further process steps added, such as the storage of information in databases or ERP systems, enabling invoices, for example, to be automatically booked. The result is automated document processing and a uniform digital editing process.

In addition, NGDX sends documents end-to-end, legally compliant and encrypted. Once the transmission is complete, it is acknowledged with a qualified transmission report.
