Premier Paper introduces DigiTuff synthetic media

Promising to be the perfect match for all your durable applications, standing up to water, grease, weather and bleach, Premier Paper has added DigiTuff to its portfolio of digital print media.

Available exclusively in the UK from Premier Paper, DigiTuff is the incredibly strong, highly durable bright white polyester sheet media that will never tear. It is also optimised for use on both colour and mono digital print processes; the smooth matt surface enables the production of vibrant images and excellent toner bonding for outstanding end results; the ideal candidate for those applications that require the combination of durability and high print quality such as menus and point of sale displays.

DigiTuff is a polyethylene terephthalate (PET), commonly referred to as Polyeste, making it suitable for outdoor applications such as signage, running bibs, military maps/manuals and industrial tags.

As well as being resistant to tearing, DigiTuff is durable. This synthetic sheet is waterproof, greaseproof, petrol-proof, oil-proof and can be cleaned with bleach; ideal for applications in the medical and catering industries. DigiTuff can also handle all weather conditions and withstand temperatures from -40°C up to 250°C.

Despite misconceptions about synthetic media, DigiTuff is PVC-free and can be recycled as category 7 plastics for disposal. The aqueous coatings mean that no solvent waste or VOC emission can be found during the production or recycling process and because DigiTuff is inert it can safely be used for landfill. DigiTuff can also be incinerated by licensed authorities, providing energy, without emitting toxic chemicals in the process. The CO2 emissions from the production and delivery of your DigiTuff order can be mitigated through Premier's Carbon Capture programme with the Woodland Trust.
