Tomorrow, Ricoh staff at the Northampton head office will be laying on a reception to celebrate ten years in partnership with BBC Children in Need.
The reception will see Phil Keoghan, CEO Ricoh UK & Ireland, present a cheque to the charity for £17,818.37 as well as featuring presentations from Phil and other Ricoh staff. BBC Children in Need’s Alexandra Moyes will also say a few words and local Northampton charity Autism Concern will talk about how they have used their grant.
Rebekah Wallis, Director of CR and People, Ricoh UK & Ireland said, “as a company committed to supporting the local community, we hope our staff’s outstanding commitment to fundraising will play a small part to helping others who are less fortunate.”
Every year Ricoh staff arrange a programme of fundraising events such as long-distance cycling, competitions and sporting events which saw them raise nearly £18,000 last year. Over the past five years, staff have also been giving up their own time, seeing over £43,000 raised in public donations.
To top it all off, Ricoh were selected as a BBC Children in Need Call Centre in November, seeing 130 staff from Northampton manning the phone lines, facilitating £105,543 of public donations during the live TV show.
The reception event will take place on Tuesday 26th January at Ricoh’s Northampton head office.
