• Rowland Gee confirmed first judge at Inspired Awards

        • Renowned retail pioneer, Rowland Gee has been confirmed as the first judge for the Inspired Awards, which is launching on 16th May 2019 at Madame Tussauds.

          As part of a distinguished career, Rowland acted as CEO of Moss Bros Group for over 13 years, expanding its retail operations across the UK. Responsible for introducing Hugo Boss to the British high street after developing a store network, Roland currently heads global textile giant Textrade International.

          An investor in innovative retail start-ups, Rowland’s portfolio includes B2B online fashion provider BrandLabFashion and world leading patented manufacturing cycle clothing brand ArmaUrto. 

          A key figure in nurturing industry talent, Rowland oversees Grey4Gold, which is the UK’s largest and most experienced retail mentoring group. Rowland also serves on the advisory board for multiple academic institutions including The University Centre Shrewsbury and Battersea Academy for Skills Excellence as well as royal charity Mosiac/Princes Trust.

          The ceremony will consist of eight categories including Innovative Retail Concept, Best Shopping Destination, Seamless Online to Offline Experience, Best Chain Window Display, Best Use of In-store Tech, Contribution to Retail, Best Independent Window Display. The Customer Service Award, as voted by the public, will provide an opportunity for consumers to recognise staff who make them feel special.

          Rowland added, “brick and mortar merchants are facing challenging times and it’s up to industry experts to not only provide guidance, but to recognise and celebrate the unique service that they provide. The Inspired Awards is the perfect way to do it.”
