• Royal Mail boosts Special Delivery Guaranteed service

        • Royal Mail has enhanced its Special Delivery Guaranteed service to enable account business customers posting valuable, time-sensitive parcels to dispatch them up until 7pm on Saturday and 4pm on Sunday for Monday delivery, excluding bank holidays.

The free weekend collection service, the latest in a series of enhancements, is available to most customers in England and Wales posting a minimum of 50 items. The extension is designed to progressively add more value to its products and services.

Nick Landon, Managing Director Royal Mail Parcels said, “this latest enhancement to our service is yet another example of how Royal Mail is providing innovative service enhancements that help online retailers meet their customers’ needs. Royal Mail has been safely delivering high value and urgent items for UK consumers and businesses for over 500 years. Special Delivery Guaranteed is powered by a secure network within the wider Royal Mail network offering additional protection behind the scenes so that parcels and letters arrive on time, safely and securely.”

Special Delivery Guaranteed is Royal Mail’s flagship product from its range of letters and parcels services which is designed to ensure the mail is processed and delivered as safely and securely as possible.  Primarily used for urgent, time-critical and valuable items, Special Delivery Guaranteed is recognised as one of the best secure delivery products on the market. Customers can choose from one of two services, Delivery by 9am or Delivery by 1pm.

Royal Mail also recently enhanced its premium Sameday service to make it more accessible to customers. Customers can now book courier services online, on a pay-as-you-go basis, anytime day or night, without the need to set up an account. There has also been increased the flexibility and convenience of its international products, offering acceptance into its network seven-days-a-week including up until 7pm on Saturday and 4pm on Sunday.
