As part of its continued efforts to raise money for worthy causes, visitor management app developer, Sign In App, has chosen The Lowdown as its UK 2021 Charity of the Year.
The Lowdown is a voluntary mental health charity, providing free and confidential counselling, emotional wellbeing, sexual health and LGBTQ support services for 11–25-year-olds across the Northamptonshire area, local to Sign In App's UK HQ.
In order to give back to the local community, the Sign In App team wanted to support The Lowdown in helping the younger generation to receive the counselling they require and to regain their lost confidence.
To raise as much money as possible for the local charity, Sign In App will be hosting a variety of fundraising events throughout the year to improve awareness and support for the younger generation. Pride Month 2021 will kick off the fundraising efforts with 10 per cent of subscriptions during June being contributed towards The Lowdown. The first team event will then see staff across various departments at Sign In App preparing to get very muddy by participating in The Wolf Run, a 10K run in Leicestershire on Saturday 3rd July.
Amy Bampton, Marketing Manager for Sign In App said, "our goal is to increase awareness of the charity, throughout Northampton and beyond so that we can raise support and funding for The Lowdown through our global connections. As a business, we're all really passionate about raising awareness of mental health and we are looking forward to working with The Lowdown and supporting the charity with a wide range of fundraising events (some not including mud) throughout the year."
Ellie White, Fundraising and Marketing Manager of The Lowdown added, "We are looking forward to working with Sign In App and are so grateful for the team's continued support of our essential work. We believe there is no need for young people to experience difficult situations alone and are determined to spread our message and promote our services with the help of our fantastic charity partners."
