King Henry VIII School in Coventry, Castlederg High School, Northern Ireland and Birchwood High School, Hertfordshire have tweaked their IT and DT equipment to supply essential safety equipment for doctors and nurses.
The schools’ printing efforts come as NHS staff launched a nationwide plea for plastic sheets to complete face shields.
WF has been delighted to be able to supply rolls of PVC suitable for face shields - free of charge, to support the effort to help protect staff working through the COVID-19 pandemic.
Gregg Corbett, WF Education’s Commercial Director said, “We find ourselves in very unusual times. It has been a pleasure to provide King Henry’s, Castlederg High School and others with PVC material to support the nationwide effort to provide safety equipment for NHS staff. It is particularly encouraging that the 3D Printing and Laser Cutting equipment TSL has provided, but which can’t be currently used by pupils, can be re-purposed in such a meaningful way.”
TSL would be happy to hear from other schools considering joining the effort to support NHS workers and is urging schools to contact sales@technologysupplies.co.uk for more information.
