Avocor, experts in display and collaboration technology, has announced that a selection of its display technology has been chosen for the redeveloped global headquarters of Zurich Insurance Group (Zurich).
Located at the Mythenquai on Lake Zurich, the Quai Zurich Campus has recently been redesigned to bring together heritage properties and state-of-the-art new buildings. The campus provides Zurich employees with a modern and inspiring environment to foster creativity and support new ways of working. Avocor displays, designed for collaborative working, are installed in over 150 rooms across Quai Zurich Campus.
The relationship between Zurich and Avocor goes back to 2019 when the company’s offices in Austria, Germany, Italy, and Portugal were equipped with Avocor displays.
Till Gotterbarm, Avocor’s Product Management & Strategic Partnerships at Avocor said, “We were very pleased when Avocor displays were chosen by Zurich for their German and Austrian offices. The project was a pleasure to be involved with and it was great to work with the in-house team to ensure the projects were a success.
“We at Avocor are extremely proud that we were able to support Zurich at such an important point in its company history. Our team in Europe continues to work with the Zurich team on further offices across the region.”
The Quai Zurich Campus close to Lake Zurich has been home to the company for more than 120 years. To realise this vision the company assembled a team of consultants to source, design, and integrate the technology solutions. The team included Bild + Ton as systems integrator, Novia AG as a distribution partner, with WSDG AG as responsible for AV systems engineering and consultancy.
Oliver Tschichold, Project Director, Quai Zurich IT/AV added, “for the meeting rooms in our new corporate headquarters, we were looking for a high-quality touch screen ‘family’ ranging from 55 inch to 86 inch diagonals. Avocor’s offering met our expectations on haptics, speed, accuracy, and versatility, without breaching our high standards on sustainability. Their reliability and their support service, based on a year of operation, is amongst the best we have seen.”
The roll-out of Avocor interactive display solutions covers four buildings, six floors, and more than 150 rooms. In the large and medium-sized meeting rooms, as well as some of the open areas, Avocor G Series displays, with their edge-to-edge bezel-less design, have been installed.
To enable meeting equity, all displays are equipped with Microsoft Teams Room solutions, including HD video and audio, for a collaborative experience. Single cable connectivity across the installation allows full BYOD (bring your own device) and BYOM (bring your own meeting) functionality to allow Zurich to continue its commitment to a hybrid working environment.
